3. I’m a member but I forgot my login, how do I get a new one?

Click here to request an e-mail with your login information.  Enter your username or e-mail and your password will be emailed to you instantly!

4. Why isn't my login working?

Your login may not work because you did not type it in correctly. Try again making sure to enter the correct e-mail address for your login and your password.

You may not be authorized to login if you are not a registered user trying to enter a restricted area. If you have never worked with our site before, you probably do not have a login. You'll need to create a new one.  Just click here to walk through setting up a membership, where you will create your login and password.

If you've logged in before and now your login doesn't work, please contact our office using our Feedback form on any page.

5. How will my online resume look?
The resume format required for online submission is not the most effective format for hard copy resumes so it will appear different. Online resumes are optimized for searches and hard copy resumes are optimized for ease of reading.  Both should always be neat and accurate.

6. Can I cut and paste my resume into my profile?
After you login click on Post a Resume, fill in the fields by either typing in your information or copying the information from a resume you have already prepared.  Copy the appropriate section from your source document and paste it in the appropriate section.  Passing the cursor over the icons at the top of each section explains the function of the icon.  The paste icon looks like two overlapping sheets of paper.

7. What should I put in the Desired Position Title box?

This box is a brief summary of what type of job your looking for or what skills you have to offer. Some candidates include what they're looking for and the area they're interested in. Some examples;  “Entry level dental assistant position.  North Houston area.  RDA certified”  or "Experienced dental assistant position. West Houston area."

8. Why haven't I received responses for jobs I applied to?
While we agree that prospective employers should always contact candidates who reply to their ads, we cannot control this. Each has its own process of reviewing resumes and screening candidates for their position. Some don't feel they are obligated to contact prospective candidates who reply to their ad.

9. Can HDAS Network provide additional information about a confidential ad?

We are not a recruiting entity; we are a service for the dental community and allow employers to post ads confidentially. Some employers don’t want the name of their company revealed.  For this reasons, we cannot give out any identifying information.  For these jobs candidates should respond through the Web site only.

10. How can I know who is looking at my resume?

We allow our employers to view resumes without revealing their identity, similar to allowing candidates to view job postings without revealing their identity.  Employers must apply and become members of the HDAS Network to view resumes.

11. What information about me is visible to member employers?
If you reply online to a specific job the employer will see your profile information (name and contact information), and the message and/or resume that was included in the response.

If you post your resume and check the box to "Display My Contact Information" employers with current job postings will be able to view your profile (name and contact information) as well as your online resume.

You can also post your resume "confidentially" by NOT checking the "Display My Contact Information" box when posting your resume. If you do this, the employer will not see your profile (name and contact information), however they will see your resume.

If you paste your name and contact information into the body of your resume, it will be visible to the employer. If you are concerned about the possibility of your current employer recognizing you based upon your posted resume, we advise against doing this.

12. Is there a charge for this service?
The service is free for our member job seekers.  There is no placement fee for finding a job through our Web site.

13. Are you affiliated with any placement firms?

Our website is independent and not affiliated with any outside firms or companies.
