Do I need previous experience?

Most of our students have no experience in the field of Dental Assisting. You are not expected to know everything. We just expect you to work hard, study well, learn and have fun.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been away from school for a while. Will I have trouble?

Whether you are a recent high school graduate, looking to change careers, or returning to the workplace; most students adapt quickly to the program and like the approach.

The school is part of a dental office that is closed to the public during class so students are not under pressure while in the learning phase. Our instructors are practicing Dental Assistant Professionals with years of experience. They enjoy sharing their knowledge and skills. They are here for your success so students who experience any difficulties may arrange for additional help through our instructors.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you have financial assistance?

Yes, we have three payment plans available for students.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do I need to buy books or supplies?

Your text book, notebook and all supplies are included in the tuition. You just need to bring a positive attitude and a desire to learn. We encourage students to wear scrubs during the class.

What is a class day like?

Classes are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a morning and afternoon break. We also break an hour for lunch. They are stimulating, fast paced, and relies on your participation. Each day typically consists of lecture and then we breakout into groups and practice what we learned in an actual state of the art dentist office. We use an excellent text book, plenty of hand outs and illustration and there are reading assignments and homework! This allows us to spend more classroom time learning the "hands-on" stuff.

Will I be a Registered Dental Assistant when I graduate?

To become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) you must first pass the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners' (TSBDE) exam.  We prepare you to become a Registered Dental Assistant by including all you need in the course.  We also include CPR for Health Care Workers, state exam review and preparation, we even pay the cost of the state exam by an approved TSBDE entity.  Our program and guides help prepare you for the exams. Studying and passing the exam is up to you.
