Houston Dental Assistant School is a post secondary career school offering hands-on, skill focused, career training. We have been serving the Houston area for over 13 years.
Our mission is to provide practical and affordable lifelong learning opportunities for dental health care professionals with educational activities that aim to increase knowledge, skills, enhance practice performance, and improve the health status of patients.
The philosophy of the School is based on a belief that people can be trained in a relatively short period of time provide you focus on the critical skills to enter the world of professional Dental Assisting. Our course is developed by experienced Dentists and experienced practicing Dental Assistants working in the dental community every day.
About our Dental Assistant Program
The program prepares students to assist the dentist. Dental assistants may carry out a variety of laboratory, clinical and office duties. Classes are held on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The graduate receives a certificate and is prepared to become a Registered Dental Assistant. A Registered Dental Assistant must first pass the Texas State Board of Dental Examiner's Registered Dental Assistant Exam. The Exam includes sections on Radiology, Jurisprudence and Infection Control. Our program and study guides are designed to help you pass the exam.
The subjects are covered using class room instruction and practical hands-on training with the equipment, instrumentation and materials used in a state of the art practicing dental office.

- The school's programs are approved by the TWC;
- Students must address their concerns about the school by following the school's grievance process outlined in the school catalog;
- Students dissatisfied with the school's response to their complaint can file a formal complaint with TWC; and
