Our campuses

Three dental assistant schools across Houston

Every one of our dental assisting programs runs inside a working dental practice — real operatories, real equipment, and a director you can call by name. Hands-on dental assistant training in Houston, not a lecture hall.

Because class is one Saturday a week, a longer drive works out better than it sounds. Students commute to us from as far as Cleveland, Sealy and Angleton — and tell us it's the least difficult part of the program.

Whichever you choose

The program is identical at all three

The only thing that changes is the drive. Every dental assistant class, every instructor standard, and every cost below is the same whichever campus you enrol at.

Choosing a campus

Which Houston campus should I choose?

Whichever is the easiest Saturday drive. The program, tuition, curriculum and credential are identical at all three, so proximity is the only thing that should decide it.

Is this a dental assistant college or a career school?

A career school. HDAS is licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission, which regulates career schools in Texas. You finish with the same Registered Dental Assistant credential a college dental assisting program awards — in ten weeks rather than two years.

Can I switch campuses mid-program?

Talk to your campus director. Sessions run in parallel across all three locations, so it's usually possible if something changes.

Do all three start on the same dates?

Yes. Every campus follows the same four sessions a year, so the start date is the same wherever you enrol.

Is there a dental assistant school in downtown Houston?

Not ours — we're deliberately in the suburbs, where parking is free and the drive is easier. West Houston students go to Katy, north Houston to The Woodlands, and southeast to Clear Lake.

How far do students travel?

Further than you'd expect. Students commute from Cleveland, Sealy and Angleton — 35 to 50 miles — because it's one day a week rather than five.

Can I visit before I decide?

Yes, and we'd recommend it. Tours run Saturdays by appointment at every campus, they're free, and there's no obligation.

Come see one for yourself

Book a free Saturday tour at whichever campus is closest. Meet the director, walk the dental office, ask anything.
